Oh Baby!

Well here it is...

I'M PREGNANT!

Eric and I are awaiting the arrival of a little miss or mister this coming October and we are beyond excited! I'm also excited to share the story of how I found out...

So for Valentine's Day weekend Eric and I planned a Disney trip with our good friends Stew and Bri Da Silva and basically it was the best weekend ever, but I noticed some odd things. So I started noticing that some of the rides were kind of making me woozie, which never happens. One of the worst ones was Star Tours. I had never been on the ride but I was so pumped. Anyways everything was going good until you go into lightspeed and suddenly I felt incredibly sick. I thought maybe it was because I was hungry so we got some food, and tried it once more right before we left the park, and same thing! Motion sick at lightspeed, I had no idea what was wrong with me! But I didn't think much of it, I loved the ride! So the next morning we started on our way home, everything was fine. We were about and hour away from getting home when I started to feel really sick, I thought I was going to puke! The minute we pulled up to mine and Eric's apartment, I ran inside, only to feel better a moment later. So annoying. The next day I had noticed that I hadn't gotten my period yet and I thought, "Well maybe there's a possibility I could be pregnant." So I had a pregnancy test sitting in the trunk of my car from awhile back when I had one of my many pregnancy scares, (I have irregular periods so I thought I was pregnant ALL the time) and so I decided to use it. Now at this point I'm pretty use to a pregnancy test saying negative so I was completely shocked to see that pink plus sign. I ran to the store to get one of the high tech blue ones and there it was! Pregnant! I was so excited! I couldn't wait to tell Eric, I have it on video and I'll upload it soon, but Eric was completely surprised. He couldn't believe it! We had started talking about having kids soon, we just hadn't decided on a specific time to start. He asked me about five times if I was joking, but no, this girl is prego. :)

We told his parents a couple days after and mine too, I have videos of those and can't wait to share them because they're pretty sweet. But both family's are so excited for our little (most likely blonde) baby to be here.

The Ultrasound & Announcement

So on Saturday we took our announcement photos with none other than my awesomely talented friend Annie Ruby, and it was so much fun!

And on Monday we had the ultrasound. That was the moment this all became really real to me. My biggest fear going in there was that the baby wouldn't be moving and there would be no heart beat. But I was so excited to see that not only was the baby moving it was almost dancing! The baby was moving so much that the ultrasound technician even commented on it, it was amazing! And the doctor said the baby's heartbeat was very strong, and that everything about my pregnancy so far looked extremely healthy so I'm so happy! So everything is really good and I'm so excited for me to experience pregnancy.

I Am: 10 weeks!

Baby Is the Size Of: A juicy grape!

Feeling: Tired and sick. Unfortunately I've been sick almost everyday for the past month, I don't really remember what it's like to feel good! It started off as constant nausea for two or three weeks and transferred into vomiting (sorry for the TMI) no everyday but most every other day so I'm just trying to be diligent in staying hydrated. I've had a couple of emotional breakdowns because I rarely get sick and I don't really know how to deal with all the emotions I'm feeling so they kind of explode into crying fits where Eric has to calm me down and remind me it's all worth it. Something another woman told me was that she was sick for some time in all her pregnancies but she would actually be worried if she wasn't feeling sick. Which kind of put it into perspective for me. My nausea is just showing that something amazing is happening in my body. :) P.S. My boobs are killing me and I've already grown out of my favorite bra...also I hate car rides, the motion sickness really sucks!

Cravings: Nothing right now! Honestly there are few things that don't make me want to gag. I can't stand the sight, scent, or taste of any kind of meat right now. I guess what I could count as a craving would be the hash browns at McDonalds. It's the only thing I can eat when I'm hungry and feeling sick.

Looking Forward to: A belly bump! I'm showing a little, but I can't wait for the big belly! Also the gender reveal, too excited for that! I do not have a preference, I just want a healthy baby! :)
